Fred Ritchin, dean emeritus of the International Center of Photography and author, addressed what he called “the post-photographic challenge” at the Visura Salon Series. Also speaking at the salon was photographer Júlia Pontés, whose photos of the impact of Brazil’s mining was recently published in Bloomberg Businessweek.

Writer Clary Estes sat down with educator, author & Dean Emeritus of the International Center of Photography (ICP) School Fred Ritchin to discuss the role technology has played in visual storytelling, photojournalism, and media, including the challenges and opportunities of the digital media revolution since the mid-1980s. Clary also discusses with Fred Ritchin his Four Corners Project an initiative to increase authorship and credibility in visual media.
